FOX-oh-four D-R-I
A senolytic peptide that selectively destroys 'zombie' cells (senescent cells) that accumulate with age and drive inflammation.
Also known as: FOXO4-D-Retro-Inverso
Last reviewed: April 2026
As you age, damaged cells enter 'senescence' — they stop dividing but don't die. These 'zombie cells' secrete inflammatory molecules (SASP) that damage surrounding tissue. FOXO4-DRI disrupts the interaction between FOXO4 and p53 in senescent cells, triggering them to undergo apoptosis (self-destruct) while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

Different anti-aging strategy. Rapamycin prevents senescence (autophagy). FOXO4-DRI clears existing senescent cells. Potentially complementary.
