min-OX-ih-dill
A topical treatment that stimulates hair follicles to grow thicker, longer hair — originally developed as a blood pressure medication.
Also known as: Rogaine
FDA approved for: Androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss)
Last reviewed: April 2026
Minoxidil widens blood vessels in the scalp, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to hair follicles. It also extends the growth phase of the hair cycle, meaning follicles spend more time actively growing hair and less time resting. The result: thicker, longer, denser hair over several months.

If solution drips onto face. Be careful with application.
• Allergy to minoxidil or propylene glycol
• Unexplained hair loss (get evaluated first)
• Under age 18
• Other topical scalp treatments — apply at different times
• Blood pressure medications — oral minoxidil may enhance effect
Pregnancy: Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Can cause birth defects.
Minoxidil stimulates growth; finasteride blocks the hormone (DHT) that causes loss. They work through different mechanisms and are often combined.
Finasteride
A pill that blocks the hormone responsible for male pattern hair loss — stops thinning and can regrow hair.
GHK-Cu
A naturally occurring copper peptide that stimulates collagen, promotes skin repair, and supports hair growth.
We don't currently offer this peptide — but we have protocols for similar goals.
